MCP server
Let an AI agent use the board directly: read its status, list what's waiting for a yes, approve or reject, and post a heartbeat.
Where it stands: Coming with hosted workspaces, behind its own switch. Approving and rejecting needs an agent key, made on purpose for it.
Steps
- Make an agent key. In your workspace, open Keys and make an agent key. A read key can only read the board, a write key can only post heartbeats, and an agent key can do all four, including approve and reject. Every decision it makes is in the audit log with the key's name.
- Add the server to your agent. It speaks MCP over HTTP. In Claude Code:
claude mcp add --transport http barncleuth https://barncleuth.com/api/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer $BARNCLEUTH_AGENT_KEY" - What it can do. board_status: every bot's state and what's waiting. list_pending_approvals: the asks with no answer yet. decide_approval: approve or reject one, with a note. post_heartbeat: report a bot's state.
What it sends
Only what each tool returns from your own workspace. Keys are checked on every call, and a revoked key stops at once.
How it's tested
Every tool is tested against the real API handler with a test database: each key kind, a revoked key, and a decision someone already made.
